RSI Awarded Contract to Implement a New Field Audit Solution at the Ohio Department of Taxation

January, 6 2017. Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services to federal, state and municipal government revenue, labor and child support agencies, is pleased to announce it has signed a contract with the Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) to implement Revenue Premier® Workpapers Toolkit as part of ODT’s Office Field Audit Support Tool (OFAST) project.

The Ohio Department of Taxation wanted to implement a configurable, customizable COTS Office Field Audit Support Tool that would provide staff a means to generate and store audit documentation including computational workpapers for field and office audits for multiple tax types.

Under this contract, RSI, working in collaboration with ODT resources, will install, configure and deploy Revenue Premier Workpapers Toolkit (initially 260 seats) and Statistical Sampler for the following Ohio Department of Taxation tax types:

  • Sales and Use Tax
  • Corporate Activity Tax
  • International Fuel Tax Association (IFTA)
  • International Registration Plan (IRP)

Revenue Premier Workpapers Toolkit will allow ODT to replace their aging custom audit workpapers system and support their unique requirements and policies, while remaining fully consistent with the Revenue Premier baseline software to allow for future software upgrades as they are made available.

The OFAST project began in January in Columbus, OH and will be performed in four releases over the next 18 months. The Ohio Department of Taxation is the second largest revenue agency (and #7 overall in the US) to license RSI’s Revenue Premier Workpapers Toolkit software.
