RSI Awarded Contract to Implement an Audit Selection Solution at Maine Revenue Services

February 1, 2017. Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services to federal, state and municipal government agencies, is pleased to announce it has signed a contract with Maine Revenue Services (MRS) to implement an Audit Selection Solution utilizing RSI’s Revenue Premier^® software product installed at MRS.

Looking to take advantage of enabling technologies for audit selection, MRS set out to automate their current audit selections, expand the scope to include IRS data, and track the results of those audit selections to improve overall audit selection and further close the compliance gap.

RSI will provide a proven Audit Selection Solution, applying experience with similar audit selection modernization projects, and incorporate reporting and custom view capabilities within the currently installed Revenue Premier software. Under this contract, the collaborative MRS and RSI Team will meet the following MRS objectives:

1. Implement a more data-driven, centralized, secure, objective and transparent approach to selecting businesses for audit using available internal and external data sources.
2. Create a secure list of queries and audit tracking reports that will allow MRS to manage the audit selection process and monitor the outcomes of different audit case selection queries over time.
3. Create custom views into the various audit selection data to create efficiencies and support decision making for the auditors.
4. Provide Training and Knowledge Transfer to MRS to use the new data-driven audit selection processes effectively and to support future expanded use and ongoing audit case selection innovations.

The Audit Selection Project started in February of this year in Augusta, ME and will be performed over the next seven months. This new initiative extends RSI’s nearly 20-year relationship partnering with MRS on a variety of successful business and information technology transformation initiatives.
