RSI Wins Data Warehousing Component of Nevada Department of Taxation UTS Project
July 29, 2005. Pembroke, MA – The Nevada Department of Taxation has selected Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI) and the DiscoverTax® product for the data warehousing component of their multi-phase Unified Tax System (UTS) Project.
The project team, comprised of RSI, Taxation and prime vendor staff, will install DiscoverTax® and use the package’s data loading tools and tax data warehouse to load several of the State’s internal and external data sources. Once the data has been loaded, the DiscoverTax® business intelligence tools will be used to configure and implement a compliance program aimed at identifying non-registrants, and managing the case workflow and correspondence generation associated with the identified leads. Future phases of the project involve the development of a compliance program aimed at identifying and managing under-reporting taxpayers, and a compliance program aimed at managing audit leads through the audit lifecycle. The absence of Income Taxes in Nevada presents an opportunity for the development of some unique business tax related compliance programs for the State.
