RSI Awarded Contract for the Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of Finance Tax and Revenue Management Solution
August 26, 2015. Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services to federal, state and municipal government revenue, labor and child support agencies, is pleased to announce a contract with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Finance. RSI will provide Revenue Premier®, RSI’s software solution designed specifically for the tax and revenue industry, and implementation services for a new Tax and Revenue Management Solution.
The Tax and Revenue Management Project (called “RAMP”) will consist of a 48-month implementation with four distinct software releases. Following each release is an onsite warranty period and then a transition to the client, and RSI’s Solution Center, in Roseville, CA, for ongoing support. Key features of the project include:
- Implementation of all Saskatchewan tax types: Provincial Sales Tax, Liquor Consumption Tax, Fuel Tax, Tobacco Tax, Corporation Capital Taxes and Insurance Premium Taxes. These taxes account for $3B in revenue annually.
- Implementation of RSI’s comprehensive Compliance and Audit solution.
- Integration of a new portal, enabled by the Revenue Premier Taxpayer Portal.
- Upgrade and enhancement to the Ministry’s imaging and scanning subsystem.
- Introduction of a new content management solution integrated with Revenue Premier.
“As we begin Release 1 of our Revenue Administration Modernization Project (RAMP), we are pleased to be working alongside Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI). RSI was selected for their collaborative approach and flexibility, which was first demonstrated during the procurement process – a theme which has continued throughout the project’s Mobilization phase. Their team has shown versatility in accommodating our project objectives and patience as we overcome our learning curve to understand future state concepts.
We look forward to sharing our implementation journey with RSI, and have every confidence that the path to modernization will be eased with them as our valued business partner.”
Brent Hebert
Assistant Deputy Minister, Revenue Division
The Ministry of Finance, Government of Saskatchewan
The entire software solution will be hosted by an external vendor located in Canada. The selection of the hosting vendor is currently in final evaluations.
The competitive procurement, which included a very thorough Request for Proposal (RFP), a written proposal response, orals presentation and product demonstration, took place in the second half of 2014. After making their selection in December, the Ministry had to wait for budget approval in the spring of 2015 before negotiating the contract. The RSI Project Team began work in Saskatchewan this summer. The project award by the Canadian Ministry makes this RSI’s first international client.
